65. Tape Worms and Retards

Ok...so I said I wasn't going to get into politics but last week during the funeral of the late Ex-President, B. Rabbani, the Afghan government decided to fire 21 cannons out toward God knows where to commemorate this man's death without providing any warning to the poor, disturbed, war stricken people that live here. So naturally, as people in the vicinity started hearing the cannons go off, they thought Kabul was under attack once again and started running and screaming into the streets.

You can read the article here to confirm they were indeed canon's fired for this purpose.   Its great the the world was informed about the plans. Would have been nice if the plans were shared with the traumatized citizens of the city as well.

Seriously, there are only two explanations I can think of:

1) Tape worms have made their way into the brains of the members of the Afghan Government and are eating away at the good stuff that is required to make them think logically.

or

2) This has seriously got to be the most retarded....sorry, mentally challenged, country in the world.
