85. A Quiet Week
- I cleared all the debris, bullet casings and rocket shells from my office. Now I just sit in my office and stare out the window at the gaping space where the 3rd floor of the building next to me used to be before it was blown off.
- I learned that you just can't trust ANYONE anymore.
- I passed through multiple security checkpoints every day on the way to work.
- I received at least 3 security warning emails per day.
- I became homeless.
- I pulled out my resignation letter about 5 times this week but decided against submitting it yet.
- I stocked up on Coke Zero in case we go on lock down again.
- I accidently bought 1 kg of expired dill -- Don't ask.
- I gave away 2 big trash bags worth of my belongings and still have a van filled with my stuff - and no, its not all shoes.
- I had Windows on my laptop crash for the 15th time in 3 months.
- I managed to get me a new stalker.
- I watched a really well made Bollywood knock off of "The Italian Job" - with the mini-coopers and all.
- I finally got a full night's sleep (5 full hours!)
- I bought a brand new 14" box TV for $40.
- I got over 100 new followers on Twitter.
- Pulled out my sweaters since its freezing again.
- I tried really really hard to laugh but only managed a few half smiles.
Looking forward to another eventful weekend. Everyone is bunkering down for another "spectacular" attack. I am so homesick already and I've only been back for 2 weeks.
"spectacular attack" does not sound good. please go back to #7 and follow through with it : )
ReplyDeleteI don't understand why you do not feel like resigning as of yet? Finishing your contract is not worth taking dangerous risks like this. I just want you to be safe!
